WINDERMERE MILITARY BROKER TESTIMONIALS

“As a military veteran, I understand what it means to serve my country and all the hard work, determination, discipline and integrity it takes to do it in exemplary fashion. These same traits and the comrade at Windermere Real Estate have allowed me to excel with a company than not only takes care of its own, but also serves their communities and their clients in heroic fashion!  I am proud to be an American and veteran who is still working together with our military in providing them a great home for their family and a sound investment in their future!”

“As the spouse of a retired naval aviator, personally experiencing all the military moves,  I  found I had the self-starting desire to launch  in to a real estate career, and  Windermere  provides all the tools needed for that perfect take off!”

“After 24 years in the US Navy, starting a second career with Windermere Real Estate here on Whidbey Island was a no-brainer.   Both the military (called the “service”) and Windermere were service-oriented and this brokerage impressed me as a unit which wanted to earn top billet by giving the best service.  I was actually invited to my interview by a retired Navy Senior Chief who had served me earlier by helping me buy the land where my wife and I now live.   Since I started in 2002, I have personally trained five other people, and the three from the military have since become full time Realtors.   Your skills are wanted and will be used here!”

“When the Navy moved my family from Guam in 2001, I was a little culture-shocked about moving to the Pacific Northwest and not knowing anybody. We decided buy a home and ended up meeting a wonderful Windermere agent that was at a model home that we were looking at. She was very accommodating to our needs and treated us like family. I ended up working at Windermere a few years after being a new homeowner, and the Marysville office was like my second family. Being a military wife and a single parent during my husband’s deployments, was difficult at times but my co-workers and employers understood and supported me 100%. I have been with Windermere for over 10 years now and my husband will be retiring here in less than 12 months. We are proud to call the Pacific Northwest our home and my Windermere colleagues, my family.”

“When I first thought of what I would like to do after my retirement, I remembered the time I bought our first home. I resisted buying a home for a long time because I thought it would be too expensive and too hard to sell being in the military and being transferred. On the contrary, it was so easy and actually cheaper than renting. I also thought about all the other military members that thought the same way as I did so I decided to become a Realtor to help military members get into a home of their own to show them how easy and beneficial it actually is to own a home. I also thought about not wanting to be tied to a 9-5 job every day. Real estate gave me the freedom to work and when I wanted to play when I wanted. I liked the idea of being my own boss also. So now that I have been a Realtor for almost 10 years, I have to say it was the best choice for me. I very much enjoy working with first time home-buyers and handing them their first set of house keys is a very enjoyable and fulfilling. I have the freedom of being my own boss, but that being said, if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. I’ve also joined a great office with great people. It’s been a great transition.”
